We are having amazing weather and hopefully we will get to sit in the garden this weekend with my new Moroccan tea light lanterns I bought and have hung from the magnolia tree. Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Pay it forward
Alice is back from university for Easter so I have my lovely muse holding the camera here. I am one day late with paying it forward but today I urge you all to take a look at Susan's blog at happy no ears, she takes fantastic photographs and always has interesting things to say about how, what and why she is photographing and I absolutely love her use of light. I want to go and live in her part of the world as she makes it look so interesting. Do have a go at paying it forward today.
Up my street
Around the corner from where I live in London there is a daily street market, I love the noise and the vibrancy of it all and the fact that you could be anywhere in the world when you stop and take time to watch with a film camera.
Happy Monday and a bit of pay it forward
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Today is the most beautiful day, glorious blue skies and spring is in the air, my magnolia is out in my garden and all is right with the world.
I have been doing a few ecourses over the last few months and one thing I have noticed with them is that the teachers all seem a little too keen on self promotion so in order to redress the balance I have decided that on Mondays I will do a mini version of pay it forward so today I urge you all to pop on over to the wonderful Caroline at constantly evolving. Caroline takes the most stunning pictures, has a stunning blog, is stunningly attractive and also knows how to call a spade a spade! How about you all doing the same on your blogs? lets all play pay it forward, it will be fun!

Happy Friday
I hope you all have a lovely weekend. It's mother's day here on Sunday but where ever you are in the world give yourselves a big pat on the back and a nice bunch of flowers!
Monday morning
When I was photographing the striped crocus the other day I also took some shots using my film camera. It is amazing the difference between digital and film, I am so enjoying experimenting and seeing what can be achieved using the same natural light, and same ISO.
I am linking up with the creative exchange today, sadly Lisa has announced it will be her last one so do go over and check this wonderful site out before it goes forever.
light and shadows
Just got another batch of film back in the post, I do love the excitement of seeing whether any of my shots worked. I got about five good shots out of the roll so all the practicing must be working a bit! I used an Ilford FP4 125 black and white film this time. This shot was taken in the stairwell of the Victoria and Albert museum the other day, the light reflected off the marble floor.
Monday
A quiet day, the hyacinths have filled the house with their perfume. Linking up with the wonderful creative exchange today too.
A little video
I am currently doing Xanthe Berkeley's video course and this is one of my experiments. I thought I would show you my little family of animals and various friends, hope you enjoy!
