can you feel the summer breeze around the corner? it brings more changes with it, my daughter has just finished her last exam and that is it, university is done, where did that time go? My son is off on his travels for the summer and yet again a new chapter of their lives start.
I see new chapters in my little garden in London, the roses are starting to bloom, bees are buzzing and as I write the dogs are lying outside in the sun. Are you feeling the summer too?
In the park
I love walking through Hyde Park in Sydney, there is one corner where there is always a game of chess going on, one on a table and one on the giant sized chess board. Everyone is concentrating on the next move. I can't play chess but do love to watch people stopping, thinking and taking time and not texting and talking.
Right here, right now
I arrived back in Sydney this morning and have spent the day trying to stay awake.I decided to head down to the beach to watch the sun go down, to be in the moment, right here, right now, life is good.
Tulip love
I've said it before and I will say it again, I do love this time of year in the garden. I planted some tulips in November in my tiny little garden and they have just bloomed and are truly amazing. I like to buy my flowers from Sarah Raven who seems to produce the most amazing testosterone filled plants that have me completely in awe. I have had these tulips in water for five days now and they continue to look absolutely amazing. I have also planted some of her other plants due to burst forth in the next few months so watch this space.
