Macro Monday

It's macro monday again, each week seems to go by so quickly. I took this picture yesterday of one of the wild poppies that had appeared in my garden over the summer. I find that the last days of nature are just as beautiful as that first bud.

  3. Nice muted colours in those late season objects.
I liked the sock darner too. Takes one back. Glad we don't have to do that any more these days :-)

  8. I agree - dried/dead flowers are as lovely as when just fresh. Great shot.

  9. Beautiful, quiet after summer colors...this looks like it could be a wooden newel post cap, turned on a wooden lathe. I love the angle you chose; makes me see things a different way. Perhaps it is a septor with a crown? Great shot.
