Black and White Wednesday

Over at the Long Road to China it is black and white wednesday and today is also the theme of connections at picture fall. My cat Ling Ling is a stray we adopted when we lived in Hong Kong, I am sure she is reincarnated and was once an Empress from the Ming Dynasty who drank jade and grew her fingernails to extraordinary lengths - I digress - Mintie is my black labrador and they have a love hate relationship which I tried to capture this morning. Straight after this shot ling ling took a swipe!

  2. I was just about to say wow, she let Mintie get that close to her! =)

I had to chuckle at Ling Ling's name, because we were just commenting on how Z's friends from when she was at a local nursery were Ting Ting, Ling Ling, and Ning Ning!

  5. They look like the very best of friends, but somehow I'm guessing it is more of a sibling relationship and they hate each other half the time.

    Lovely photo!

  28. Brilliant contrast between the black dog and light cat. Wonder how my Irish Wolfhound would have fitted into the mix - you'd probably only had room for her paw :-)

  29. They are so sweet! I have that same relationship at my house, only the cat is bigger than the dog and it only took the dog one time to get swiped (it left a scar) and he knows to leave the cat along when he is fiesty. But everyday you can find them sleeping together. Thanks for sharing! Denise
