Preparation

Today for Tracey Clarke's 'picture fall' class we had to focus on something in the kitchen that brings you joy. I generally see cooking everyday meals as a chore but I always get excited in the preparation of cooking something new. I love standing my ingredients in an orderly line before I weigh them, gently sifting the flour whilst I tap the side of the sieve and I love mixing everything together, I find it very therapeutic. What brings you joy in the kitchen?

  6. I like this photo a lot. I guess you were baking bread from this shot.I'm guessing you were baking bread. You can probably tell by my 365 blog and certainly by my food blog I love to cook and bake (including most of our bread).

  8. I enjoy cooking for family and friends - spending an afternoon preparing a meal from fresh ingredients, trying out new recipes - great joy! Only thing is I don't usually enjoy the eating the result as much as if someone else had prepared it :-)

  9. Wonderful depth of field in this image. To answer your question: my microwave brings me joy because I do not ever cook!

  11. The smell of something cooking ! This usually means the hard part has been done, and next comes the best part ; eating. I think I have found my guru, you ! Of all the photography blogs I have stumbled upon YOU are the only one I have found that uses a Canon 7D ( or is prepared to say they do) I am a very novice photographer and I would be a very happy and fulfilled girl if I could take photos like yours. .... I have a long way to go with my 7D, but you inspire me. Cheers from Oz.
