Monday morning.

I found one solitary camelia in the garden this morning, I have no other flowers at all, everything has gone to sleep for the winter. I thought it looked pretty floating in a bowl of water.

  1. Wow, I didn't think camelia's would be out this time of year. Such a beautiful flower. Love the composition you have used.

  4. Hello, dear Justine! Well! It's been a couple of weeks since I've visited. I went and caught up - right back to where I left off - Halloween. There is so much beauty, here. Very inspirational, actually. I'm a little lost, now that the season and light has changed. You're helping me to turn my thoughts indoors (although, outside is still starkly beautiful!) You do know, don't you, that your photography just keeps getting better and better, right? I may not know or understand everything but I can FEEL it. =] Also, I don't just hand out insincere compliments - only true ones! Well, I wish that I could comment on individual photos but I have a goal to accomplish before Thursday - thanksgiving - and have to move along. (I'll just mention, though, that this camellia, shoes, candleholders and your metals - hooks, beaters - are sticking in my brain. Wonderful!)

    Toodlepip!

  7. Oh how beautiful. The flowers have pretty much disappeared here too. I love the way you captured the drops on the petals. And how magic it looks floating in the water!

  10. Love the softness. Camelias are a favourite of mine. Wish I could send you some flowers, our garden is chockas at the moment but I know at the end of summer it will be brown and dry and bereft of any colour.
