I can't believe Christmas is over so quickly, I say the same thing every year! We had a lovely day yesterday. Today is all about tidying up and putting a bit of order back, I like the feeling of being in control again and find the whole process very calming. Hope you are still having a wonderful lazy time.

Kitchen towels have never looked so interesting! A lovely and comforting image.
ReplyDeleteFor me a lovely walk along a beach on a bright and crisp day. Perfect Boxing Day.
ReplyDeleteToday is when the chaos begins!!! 3 teenagers with parents in tow arrive this afternoon for the week....Ooohhhmm!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo Justine, I feel exactly the same way! If I had it my way, I would start taking down the Christmas decorations today, but today is my husbands B-day, and he likes the tree up for "his" day. I am always anxious to get the new year started and get organized!
ReplyDeleteWish I was at that step of cleaning up. We still have packages strung across the living room floor. Maybe we will get everything tidied up before that day draws to an end. Thanks for the motivation and inspiring photo!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful - I love the focus and the composition! I can't believe Christmas is over already - after those days and weeks of hectic rush and stress. And it's back to work again tomorrow - sigh...
ReplyDeleteI also enjoy tidying things up after Christmas day, that feeling of relief after the frenzy of Christmas, finding places for new things, breathing out..! Glad you had a lovely day and hope you are keeping warm xox
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you! As much as I love the holiday season, I also love the restoring of order at the end. I like how you put that!
ReplyDeleteI so feel the same. Doing laundry, cleaning and decluttering. I can't start the new year without feeling organized. Lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteI agree totally. I certainly know why they call it boxing day. (I must have thrown out dozens of boxes and packaging yesterday). Looking forward to some semblance of order.
ReplyDeleteI was doing the same thing, trying to put everything back in its place. Now I'm thinking nap!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree! Great capture.
ReplyDeleteSuch a peaceful photo. I have done nothing but sleep and eat all day. It's so nice to do that one day a year! Hope you had a wonderful holiday!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you - time to put things back in order. I hope you had a great Christmas!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful composition, selective focus and light.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen dish towels look so lovely! I will leave everything up for a little longer. I miss all the color and lights once they are put away - and I know my two rascally cats will miss the tree.
