When we move I will miss walking through the apple orchards on my doorstep with the dogs. Some of the trees have been here for hundreds of years and produce endless different crops. At the moment of course they are all bare but in a couple of months the view will be a sea of pink when all the blossom comes out. I am currently doing a wonderful course by Kat Sloma of the wonderful Kat eye view of the world, her course is called - find your eye - and we are learning all about composition at the moment, I have filled the frame and used the rule of thirds.

A nice place to live near. Hope you are moving somewhere nice. Just had a look at Kat Sloma's blog. Will watch out for the next ecourse. Have recently enrolled in an ecourse with The Photography Institute because I want to understand the technical side of the camera. Just recently got my mind around aperture. Have a DSLR but only one lense at the moment which is a zoom lense. Charmaine
ReplyDeleteLovely winter photo Justine - would be great to see this same shot over the course of the year with season's changing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image, and that will be sad missing that wonderful place it seems :-( I hope your next place will bring you joy! I always hope that for myself whenever it's time for us to move.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I would love to walk out of my door and see that. I'm sure where you are moving must offer much much more or you wouldn't be doing it. Good luck with your move. Can I buy your current home!? ;P
ReplyDeleteWhat a shot!! Good luck with the move.
ReplyDeleteHow can you move away from this wonderful landscape? This is a lovely photograph and I'm so glad you're enjoying Kat's course. I was tempted myself but it came a little too hot on the heels of a BetterPhoto course I did at the end of last year.
ReplyDeleteYou've captured beautiful natur. In Slovenia are very similar vews, but full with vineyards :).I missed being so far from home.
ReplyDeleteHugs ♥
Great shot, Justine. Hope the move goes well.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely photo Justine and your images always have such wonderful perspective. The orchard must look beautiful when the blossoms are out. Hope the move goes well.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely and serene shot! I can close my eyes and picture what it would look like in the spring. Thanks for the link on the e-course, please let me know how it goes!
ReplyDeleteI love the rolling hill in the back, beautiful! Makes me want to run through the hills lol
ReplyDeleteThe photo is a dream. Soft and beautifully rendered with so much for they eye to enjoy. The verticals and rolling horizontals are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt does have great composition. While it will be an adjustment, you will have a whole new set of things to help find your eye in the city.
ReplyDeletewhat an incredible view and i can only imagine how beautiful when they're all dressed in pink!
ReplyDeleteAnd you did a great job filling that frame! What a lovely scene. I hope the place your moving to is as lovely as what you are leaving. Do you have any pictures of the orchard in spring? I'm sure it is quite a site! : )
ReplyDeleteThat does look like a memorable place...I can understand how you will miss it!
ReplyDeleteWell I must say you filled the frame perfectly.. What an amazing and beautiful shot.. That view would really be hard to leave..
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful day my friend..
Hugs, Linda
Breath taking. I adore the angles of this shot. The greenness of this shot amazes me, too. How lovely.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your move.
Such an incredible view!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful landscape. Grand place to live near.
ReplyDeleteYou've captured and set the scene beautifully. I'm looking forward to seeing the orchards when they covered in blossom!
ReplyDeleteYou get to walk here all of the time? Wonderful. You captured the winter hills beautifully, but I also find myself wishing to see the sea of pink shared in your words. I hope you will share that image some day. Not only did you capture the rule of thirds, but some linear perspective too! (You know me, I'm all about that lately.)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view and beautiful photo. I guess you are tired of hearing people say "oh, why are you moving, you will miss all this beauty", but beauty is around us where ever we are and with your fabulous photographic eye you will find it in abundance I,m sure.
ReplyDeleteI love this photo.
ReplyDeleteJustine, that looks so dream like to me. I've never walked anywhere quite like that. You captured it so perfectly and I'm sure you will find many new and fascinating things to photograph at your new home. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteYes you have, with eye popping success. I beautiful image in every way!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope wherever you move, you love it just as well. I know that I would miss all the beauty too.
ReplyDeleteI love the perspective
ReplyDeletei love the quiet calm of this beautiful landscape.
ReplyDeleteI love all the leading lines in this photo and the vastness this conveys!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful is this! I know you have such a wonderful spot there and I am certain you will miss it very much, but just think of all the wonderful new opportunities ahead!!
ReplyDeleteYour class sounds fun! We have some apple orchards near us that are just glorious. I've tried to photograph it but it's very awkward - you've done a rather nice job, here. =] It's, actually, on my way to the town with the superstore - it's the most incredible commute. When I was coming back, last week, it was just SO beautiful with the snow and the odd shape of the trees against it and the light was reflecting pink everywhere. I have GOT to get back! Also, last year, I could've just kicked myself for not having my camera - the trees were covered in blossoms, the ground was velvet, carpeted grass and the rows were full of dandelions. I can't wait for this spring, now, that I've got the new camera!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, as ever, for the inspiration!
I'm going to go and rummage around a bit more, now. =]
Katy
I so need a photography workshop!
