Moving

We have made the decision to move from the countryside in the middle of nowhere to a busy area of London so the house is now on the market and fingers crossed it will sell. We live in a very old house and there are lots of aspects of it I will miss, especially my bathroom.  I love my bath and I have books all around it so I can reach up and flick through a chapter or two whilst relaxing.

  1. This is a great project! I need to photograph our apartment before we move from Italy this summer. It will hold a special place in my heart, and two years of fabulous memories for us. I would love to not only see your home but to hear any special stories that come to you as you photograph.

  2. Can't wait to see more Justine, this small glimpse of your bathroom has made me eager for more. Books to read while you're in the bath - and you have feet on your bath - double envy!

  3. Wow, what a big and exciting change! We are moving too but only to a different part of the same town. Not quite as drastic a lifestyle change. I hope the house sells quickly for you! It's a neat idea to record it like this.

  13. The other day my daughter said we live in library. At first I was confused, but then I realized how that mistake could be made. We are ass deep in books, literally.

I would have a REALLY hard time leaving that bathtub and those faucets!

  22. Awesome shot of that clawfoot tub, Justine. I bet you'll miss all that nice hot water. Modern tubs are soooooo low it's like bathing in a puddle!

  23. NO ! You can't move from your house in the country. I love your house. Joking ( not about loving your house ). How exciting for you. From a purely selfish point of view I can,t wait to see the photos of your next house and of course all the subject matter that living in London will give you. Selling is awful tho. I find it very unsettling, however 'making a new nest' is exciting and fun and something to look forward to. Good luck with the sale.

  32. Oh, I can so understand how you feel. I am in a very, very old house also, and I have one of these!!! They just don't make them like this anymore, and if i were to move, this would be the one thing I would miss most.
Beautiful shot, and best of luck in relocating Justine!

  33. I would love your bath too. When I was in college, we had a tub just like that - but not the surrounding loveliness - and I lived with five other girls - no privacy for a bath. Good luck with your move. It's really so excitinig!
