Restoring order.

I like days like today when I have completed all those little jobs I have had on my to do list, I feel that balance and order is restored and I am ready with a clean slate for the week ahead, how about you?

  1. Hi Justine, how funny I just replied to your comment on my blog with something similar to our post today. Great shot of the mugs. Such a soothing color.

  3. Your wonderful photo is just perfect for the title! I love the tones and the simplicity of this shot so much! Unfortunately, I didn't complete my to-do-list today, but I know exactly what you mean! Have a wonderful start into the new week, Justine!

  6. oh my goodness yes, I am the same way! This is why in college I always had to clean my room before I could write a paper. Other people called it procrastination, but really I need order to think clearly. I LOVE getting everything on my list done (although it's been awhile since I've managed that).

  8. This is so soft and soothing and yes it looks very ordered... another beautiful photo. Are you on a 'green' theme at the moment, your last 3 photos have all had green in them ....I like it. Did some b&w photos on the weekend.. thanks for info. on setting for my camera, yes it was simple, but not really happy with my pics. not very clear. Will not put them on my blog but they are in my Flickriver if you want to have a look. Nothing is ordered in this house at the moment, too much tennis and cricket on the tv. and too many people coming and going, a birthday celebration this week and I am off to Melbourne next week, so am very "disorganised" at the moment.... just as well I can come and look at your beautiful photos to restore my sense of calm.

  12. I feel the same way. There is nothing like starting a week with no leftover chores from the week before. I wish I had the experience more often though! :-)

  13. That's a perfect way to start the week. Unfortunately, here it is Sunday, and I'm playing catch up. I've been doing some organizing and it always seems like I make a bigger mess before I get it fixed. Love the soft colors in your photo.

  14. I love that too...unfortunately, I did not do that today and I'm left with a big old mess of a house to deal with tomorrow.

  19. I think I completed SOME of all the jobs I wanted to do at the weekend! These mugs are lovely - I've seen some like them somewhere but can't remember where. May have been a Steamer Trading shop.

  20. I love this shot - the soft tones are very calming. It's beautiful and simple. I couldn't agree more - it's so satisfying when you can finish off all those little jobs and finally get organised (until the next list starts!) Hope you had a good weekend. Di

  22. Hi, Justine, I just found your blog and am enjoying your photos and posts. Though you live in an old house in the country, I marvel at the clean surfaces & lines in your images, especially today's. I hope you find a place in London with as much charm. Best, Marcia

  23. I try to get myself in order on Monday's after my husband goes back to work. We have standing joke between us. When I get frustrated with him over the weekend he says "two days, 5 days" meaning two days of stress and 5 of calm.

  24. For me,this happens so seldom, but when it does, I agree that it is a wonderful feeling, liberating, and being in control, if only for a while! This is a beautifully simple image!
