Black and white Wednesday

I am slowly sorting through cupboards at the moment and at the back of one I found this pen still in its box which was beautifully decorated with calligraphy.  I have no idea where or when we got it but instantly thought that it would make a good photography prompt!     A long time ago I use to do calligraphy with pens just like that one. Great picture -- I love the texture of the paper and the texture of the body of the pen. Beautiful!

    You're right, it was a perfect prop. It's such a dying art and few still use those pens. I address wedding invitations and have reverted to gel pens. Not as classic, but easier to manipulate. Good B&W.
