My favourite colours

I love yellow and green, they always remind me of spring, at this time of year you can see these colours in the garden with the daffodils and the green leaves of the sprouting tulips. When we lived in Sydney I painted our kitchen bright yellow and when the sun shone in it almost used to glow, sadly bright yellow wouldn't look quite the same in a house in England!

    Ah yes. I guess the colours in England are very similar to the colours here. Lots of gray and rainy shades :-) Makes yellow a lot less fresh, doesn't it? But I love the colour combination in your picture. So soft and lovely.

    But, hey, you can bring some sun with this colours in your home in England too. Better than everyday brown and grey :)).

    I think it's something to do with natural light that makes yellow so difficult to decorate with. It can look more lemony on a wall than it does in the can. I love these subtle colours though.
