I decided to throw open the window today even though it's freezing cold again, I need to shake off winter.
Using an aperture of f2.8 meant that the grass outside became a lovely blend of green.

Sounds like my place today - the sun is shining and I've had the window open quietly telling myself that it's not "that" cold. Definitely ready for some warmer weather!
ReplyDeleteLove the setting you used on your camera.. It gave that grass a wonderful effect. Your photo looks beautiful.. Hope you enjoy your day..

Wow - what a gorgeous shot! I'm pretty jealous that you can see green. I'll be waiting for snow to melt for months.
ReplyDeleteThis is a brilliant picture. I love the blurred green. A lens with a large aperture setting really makes a difference doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteBelo registo...Espectacular....

Beautiful composition! I love the spiral...does it hold the window open?
ReplyDeleteI love it too. It looks so amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great shot Justine, and I did just this (opened some windows) yesterday. Still horribly cold here also, but just wanted that fresh air in the house. Truly felt good!
ReplyDeleteI love this.. yes it has turned cold again. Boo!!
ReplyDeleteI'm about ready for an open the window day....jealous. House is craving fresh air-or perhaps it's the house's occupant.
ReplyDeleteLovely close up....against the green, such contrast. Enjoy the air.
This is a beautiful shot and I love the green. Shame about all this cold and grey weather. Hoping for sunshine soon.
ReplyDeleteThis is so fantastic, Justine! I love the green background - it's fantastic! Great angle - I really get the feeling of opening a window!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this one . The piece of hard, dark curled metal against that soft green background is just too beautiful. As soon as I saw it I thought ' how has she done that with the back ground ' and then you so thoughtfully explained....thank you.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture. That wide open aperture really did capture wonderful color, focus on the subject and dof. Great work.
ReplyDeleteI adore the green! Can't wait to see some around here.

I wish I could throw open the window - love the green.
ReplyDeleteWhen I finally got to open a window the other day, I'm not sure who was more excited, me or the cat returning to her perch! Love the green here too.
ReplyDeleteSuch a simple subject, and yet so architectural. I looks 3-D! Amazing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful effect. So great to see that we don't need photo editing programmes when we know how to use our camera's properly!!
ReplyDeleteLove the colour. Hope to join you in the flickr group with a photo for movement. Charmaine (no blog so have more time to take a photo)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I really love your photo, but secondly, the iron handle on that window is so unique! We have boring windows in our home...nothing to photograph like that. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteA simply beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the most lovely detail. And against that green, so beautiful.
