The Big Day!!

I went out at 7.30 this morning and walked to Westminster Abbey then along to Horseguard's parade, down the Mall and along to Buckingham Palace. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, every nationally is  represented, everyone is dressed up, waving flags, it really is such a great party atmosphere. I really didn't think I would get so caught up in it all but because we are staying just around the corner I have seen it as a wonderful photography opportunity. Thank you all for indulging me even if you have had enough of it all, I promise these are the final shots!
Westminster Abbey, this is as close as I could get due to the crowds.
Horseguard's Parade - they will travel through this archway

 Obama is being represented!

The balcony!! this is as close as I could get.

  6. Oh my Justine, you are brave to travel through the crowd with your camera. Did those Queens post specifically for you? I love the masks although not good for security; I'm surprised they are allowed. Tell my President we've got tornado damage to deal with back home and get his keister back to the USA.

  13. How wonderful to be so close. I should think the atmosphere was amazing. What I saw of it on television was absolutely wonderful and she looked just gorgeous and they both looked so at ease with each other. So different from Charles & Diana's wedding.

  16. Super shots. I don't think I would have braved the crowds. Was glad I made it back from my morning walk just as Kate was making her way to the Abbey.

  17. Such wonderful shots! It looked like a very good day from the TV coverage here. I wish the TV folks would have talked less, but besides that, it we could really feel and hear the love. I'm so glad things went so well and hope it is a sign of great things to come. Thanks for sharing.
