Guards caught off guard

Everyone is getting ready for the Royal wedding and as we walked past Buckingham Palace today I caught a glimpse of the guards getting ready to march and practice.
Here they are heading off to the Palace.

  1. It's not often you see the palace guards out of precision!!!

  2. I'd give anything to be over there, to be a part of the royal nuptials. It must be terribly exciting.

OK, Justine, now we're counting on you to send us whatever you can -- pics (behind the scenes or up-front), stories, impressions, rumors, gossip, Palace news -- you're our on-the-scene blogster. Ha.

    A kiss in return . . .

  10. Oh my Justine.....I love it. Catching the guards off guard is hilarious. And you know I'd love to paint my version of it if you'd allow me.
The limited pallette would be marvelous to work with. You never cease to amaze me with what you capture with your camera.

  11. I love the candid shots, such a different view than the practiced form we are used to seeing. Should be an interesting couple of weeks for you.

  12. Gorgeous photo, I love their beautiful red jackets, but this photo did make me giggle, the 'soldiers' look almost 'toy like', as if you could wind them up and off they go.

  20. I think if I hear the words 'Royal Wedding' again I may expire completely. However, you won't know whether it's from excitement or overload :-) These are lovely photos though, especially the first, more informal one.
