books, books and more books....

The builders and painters have left and I have finally got my lovely book room that I have always wanted. I am still waiting for the white shutters to be installed and for the lampshades above the window seat to arrive but otherwise my room is done. I have always loved books and cannot imagine life without them. I thought I had a lot but there are still quite a few empty shelves so I will have to keep reading! I am linking up with the wonderful Lisa over at the creative exchange, do take a lot at her blog for some fantastic inspiration.

  6. Awesome room, Justine. Love the windows and window seat. I built one myself to go in front of my picture window right here near my computer and love the warmth of the sun in winter and the fact it looks out on my flower garden in summer. Enjoy your wonderful room.

  12. What a lovely room - just what I could do with. I have books stashed all over the place which makes it very difficult to find the right one when I want it. Having a room like this would murder my Amazon account though :-)

  15. This is a beautiful room! The white paint and large windows make it seem so light and airy. I love the window seat. We have lots of books in our house too, but not so neatly shelved, I'm afraid. These photos are inspiring!

  16. I'm sticking with my Martha reference. Jus' sayin'. This space with desk looks so inspirational. Obviously having my computer desk facing toward a wall with no window anywhere in sight is ALL WRONG. Thanks for the unintended suggestion. You built-ins are really beautiful and a window seat too! Wow. I'm glad you have the space you've wanted.
You asked how I felt passing the 365-feels good. Feels good to let the camera rest a smidge. I've been shooting hit or miss. I soon will return to daily outings though. I need them, but with permission to pass from time to time rather than "force" a session. Thanks for asking.

  23. Wow ! What a gorgeous room. How lucky are you to have your own personal library. Love the window seat and cushions. Great photo of your lovely room. It's great to see some who loves books enough to devote a whole room to them, rather than buy and store their books on their ipad or Kindle lol. xx
