Jubilee celebrations

It was a very soggy day yesterday but nothing could dampen that old British spirit! so many boats, so much to see, I saw some of the dragon boats that were waiting in Putney to join the parade, it was a wonderful atmosphere.

The celebrations continue and today we are having a street party, the children lined up for the best Queen competition and of course later on there is a cake competition!

  3. Wow, that party cake is fantastic, the decorations are amazing!!!
I spent a few hour in Battersea Park with family, luckily for us we didn't get caught in the downpour.
Thanks for your lovely comment, I live a short walk from the park. It's such a lovely place for long walks.

  4. Love these photos, and love the Brits, and love that they love their Queen. Certainly can't say every one "loves" our head of the country here in Australia. My fave picture is the last one, the flag, in cake form and nail form, perfect and delicious. Enjoy the celebrations, every one looks like they are having a good time from what has been shown on the TV over here. God Save The Queen !

  8. Wasn't it a shame about the rain! But what a spectacle. The steam locomotive on the bridge was brilliant. My Dad would have loved it.
