O is for orchid

We are up to the letter O at film26. I took this shot using my old canon 500d with ilford delta 400 film. Why don't you join film 26 too on our flickr page. Just get out that old camera, any camera, as long as it is film, take pictures and savour that lovely moment when you open the packet from the developers and  see how your roll turned out. All developers supply cds now so it is so easy to put your shots on the computer and then upload.

  1. Perhaps I should do my photo walk with a film camera though I have just discovered VSCO Film Lightroom presets and just love the film look!

  2. This is so beautiful, like looking through a piece of silky gauze. Film does have such a wonderful softness and depth I think. Sadly I don't have a film camera any more and I struggle enough with my digital so I'll admire and appreciate your images instead. xx

  3. Lovely shot!
My daughter always buys disposable cameras and loves the thrill of opening that package to discover how her film turned out. I love the fact that you forget what pictures you've taken.

I should give film a go, I have an old camera around here somewhere.

  5. This has such a lovely retro look to it, Justine. I'm so spoiled by the ease and disposability of digital that I don't think I can go back to film.

  6. Gosh, I can't remember the last time I shot film. This photo makes me want to try, though! May have to dust off the old Canon and give it a go. Have a great week.

  8. Nothing can replace the excitement of going to the camera store to pick up ones prints and the excitement of opening the package... it was like Christmas morning. Its nice to now see the photos instantly and while one is setting up the shot with the new digital but film still holds a place in my heart.
