Whilst we were at Oasis with the Shutter sisters we got to play with various toys like the lensbaby. I'm glad I got to try one out before I bought it as I have always wanted one but have now decided against it. They are great but to change the aperture you have to use a fiddely magnet and also I think I would get bored of it after a while but it was fun to play with. I took these shots of the pool whilst everyone was trying out their waterproof iphone cases (they don't make one for a blackberry yet so I couldn't play with that one!). I love the effect the lensbaby has on the water. What about you? do you have a lensbaby?

No Lensbaby here. If I have to fiddle with it too much it is not for me.
ReplyDeleteIts good you got the try it out, looks interesting but not for me... Heck, I get those kinds of pictures without even trying due to an unsteady leg. (giggle)
ReplyDeleteBut the colors you captured are vibrant.
They're really cool images. I wanted one of these for a while, but I think after reading your opinion, I'll pass. I don't have much patience and this seems like it would try what little I have. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteCool shots. I see some wonderful work with lensbaby lens. I do not have one though, probably wouldn't use it much if I did. :-)
ReplyDeletei have one and love it.....BUT i bought the one that changes apertures all within the unit itself and stayed away from the magnetic one, as i had read how awful that one was with all the pieces.
ReplyDeletei don't use it often, but sometimes it's just what a want for a certain shot :)
I love the effect the lensbaby lens gives. I have always wanted to buy one also. Your photos look so cool.
ReplyDeleteHugs~
That's why I much prefer my sweet 35 optic -- before I got it I almost never changed the aperture. I love my lens baby for a certain look and sense of motion...my eyes aren't so great so the manual focus is hard.
