When trying to be different just doesn't work...

A year ago I got an iphone and loved taking instagrams and little videos and then I had a hissy fit and decided I didn't want to be like everyone else so I traded it in for a blackberry and felt very smug that I was 'different' from everyone else. Fast forward to a year later and I now have an iphone again! what changed? well I decided a few things, photography is about the pictures and the love of taking pictures and it doesn't matter how you take them as long as you take them. It's all about being aware of what is around you, looking up - no one looks up - looking down, there is so much to see and it needs to be captured regardless of the camera. I also realised at Oasis that out of 85 women being the only one without an iphone wasn't me sticking two fingers up to the crowd, it was me sitting all alone because I had no one to play with! So, I am humbled and I am now starting an iphone journey again and would love to follow you all so let me know where I can find you, I am at justinegordon123

  1. Welcome back to the world of iphone. I have been thinking, does it really have to be one or the other. Is it not possible to have both? :)

  3. Thank you for the glimpse into your thoughts. I got an iPhone in August finally. I just LOVE it overall, sometimes I really like it for photos and sometimes I prefer my big girl camera, the great thing is having the flexibility. I know there are some shots I would miss if I didn't have my iPhone and that is worth it right there. I am paisleyrainboots.

  4. Couple of useful apps for your iphone - Dr DOF and f/8 both calculate depth of field. Oh, and Photoshop Express for photoshopping in-phone!

  10. It's a journey isn't it? Funny how we all get ideas like that, I guess you've got to try it and work it out from there.
This sunshine & sailing boat are really beautiful.

  14. What beautiful photography, I'm glad I found your blog. I wish I could use instagram to post from my cell, but my android won't let me. It would be much easier that way. But I do agree, it's really all about capturing what's around you with photography, not the way or means we do it.
