Sydney is putting on the most wonderful show at the moment. It is one hundred years since the Australian navy was formed and entered Sydney Harbour so for the next few days tall ships and warships from around the world are taking part in the naval fleet review.
We are lucky enough to have everything taking place on our doorstep so we headed up the hill to watch the arrival of the Australian navy warships
We then walked around to the lighthouse on the south side of the entrance to the Harbour
then watched spectacular fly pasts by RAAF roulettes
We then walked along the foreshore
and settled down on the beach
and watched the early afternoon sun settle on the water, a perfect day.

This reminded me so much of the Bay Area where I lived for 38 years and we would go to San Francisco to see the Tall Ships when they would come in and the Blue Angles flying team. How fun, I know how excited I was to see all of this and how grand. What a beautiful day. I so love that hat on the beach.
