My week

I bought a vitamix - wow they are powerful and make the most amazing smoothies and drinks, this was my banana, strawberry and blueberry fix for breakfast.

Michael started chemotherapy on Tuesday and is now on a three week cycle of drip and tablets for the next six months. We are going to batten down the hatches to ride out the storm.

I finished my 365 on instagram and have made a book through artefactuprising and have also given up instagram.

I have just a few days left to go on the challenge I set myself after watching Matt Cutts on Ted. Have you watched it? he talks about trying something new each month and I was so inspired I decided to run every day for the month of October and next month I am going to take a film photograph a day (anyone care to join me?).

How was your week?

  1. I really wish your husband the best these next few months, going to be a challenge for you all. I have the Vitamix and I love that machine. I do some of the green juicing when I can, love the fruit juicing but really try to eat my fruit instead although I do love it all mixed up. I also do meal shakes twice a day per my doctor which I find good through the Vitamix.

Congrats on the 365, never been successful on that one. Always good to set a new challenge for yourself. I just got a new MacBook Pro so trying to learn that coming from a PC for so many years and that is my challenge over the next few weeks.

Again, my best to your husband with his treatments.

  2. Your smoothie looks yummy. I'm keeping your hubby in prayer for this time to go quickly and have a positive outcome for him. Hold onto him Justine, even if he pushes you away because of how he feels on the chemo, because he really needs you and will be glad you were with him when it is over.

I recently finished treatments myself, but radiation, not chemo. Fingers crossed.

  5. Dear Justine, first...all the best for your husband and for you on this journey. Sending my good thoughts to both of you. Second: thanks so much for this inspiring link. I really enjoyed it and already started to think what my next challenge will be. Oh, and like Matt i can call myself a novelist, too for i did NaNoWriMo once. And my novel was crap :-) Keep up the good work and smoothies.

  15. That smoothie looks devine, they are a great way to take food when you don't feel up to a meal. The new thing each month is a great idea. I will watch the talk, just home from a trip to Derbyshire and Howarth, post to follow. You're both in my thoughts.

  16. This looks delicious, Justine!
I've been struggling with a sinus infection, so nothing really noteworthy from my week ;-) After a little (involuntary) break form Instagram I'll try to post one photo each day for November, which will be a challenge for me. I'll miss you on Instagram, though!
I've been thinking of you and Michael a lot! I'm sending a lot of positive energy and good thoughts and big virtual hugs, Justine!
