Books...

Here are my new bookshelves in my study. Our furniture finally arrived last week and things are beginning to take shape. I love books and bought all my books with me to Sydney and had to have rather a lot of bookshelves built to accommodate them all!

It is wonderful to have all our possessions around us again, familiar photographs and trinkets and beloved cameras. It is very timely as well as my beloved husband has just finished chemotherapy and has just had the final round of his surgery and as I write he is in hospital recovering from the operation. He will come home tomorrow to a house full of objects and memories instead of the empty house that we have been living in for the last six months. I won't enjoy the extra dusting and cleaning all the things will need though!

  1. It all looks so lovely and inviting, Justine! I'm sure it's really beginning to feel like home now. And best of luck to your husband as he recuperates. Hope it goes smoothly and quickly. What a dreadful thing to have to deal with at any time but especially after such a big move. Thinking of you both.

  9. Gorgeous. I love books and have one as well and the world wants to be paperless or at least in Canada.
