A peaceful time

Things are pretty quiet back in Sydney, it doesn't take long to get back into the routine. It was my birthday while I was in London and my daughter Alice gave me this beautiful teapot from Liberty  (such a beautiful store, well worth a visit if you are in London) and every day I am reminded of her as I sit reading the paper with a pot of earl grey.

  1. Oh! I love that teapot! I have a weakness for teapots anyway and this one is beautiful. What a lovely gift from your daughter! She knows you well ... and I know you miss her.

  4. I did visit Liberty briefly on my one trip to London many years ago and wished I'd had more time there. Your teapot is lovely, and so is the quiet mood of this shot. I really like the indoor/outdoor viewpoint. And...happy birthday!

  8. Are you sure this wasn't taken in England??? One of my life's treasures is the traditional brown English teapot that my childhood neighbor gave me for my first wedding shower...she was English, her husband met her in England during WWll. She was a lovely person...

  12. Lovely photos of the lemons, Justine. I don't have marmalade recipes, but my husband makes great lemoncello!
