A weekend away part one

We went to the centre of Australia this weekend and stayed in the Northern Territory and it was absolutely amazing.  We spent four days in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and were lucky enough to stay in the most amazing place called Longitude 131 where your luxury tent has the most stunning view of Uluru (or Ayers Rock as it used to be known).  You open your blinds each morning and see the rock, it is truly amazing. Seeing Uluru is one of the most amazing experiences, it is nothing like you imagine and each one of us found it hard to explain our emotions as we watched it change colour at various times of the day. It really is the most beautiful experience, almost spiritual.

Our days were packed, a full itinerary worked out for us with sunrise and sunset trips to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. We had canapés and drinks served to us on the baked red earth to add to the luxury of it all and it was so wonderful and memorable.

I took so many pictures so will bore you with part two of our adventure soon.
