Oh my goodness it feels like it will never stop raining in Sydney! its very cold and wet and all I see on instagram is pictures of people having an amazing time in Italy. Do you ever get complete envy or FOMO or whatever it is, that feeling you wish you were somewhere else but then you realise of course instagram has left out the day to day things like baggage handlers on strike, lost luggage, mismatched trains and generally nothing actually is as easy as instagram makes it look.
It's exciting to plan, I have been watching a film called "the way" with Martin Sheen, it's about ten years old but the story centres around his son who has died on day one of his walk on the camino trail and Martin Sheen plays the father who decides to do the pilgrimage in his place. I haven't finished the film but I am enjoying it and wondering if it's something I would like to do having dismissed it a while ago. Have you done it? are you thinking of doing it? The average trip is 36 days and that does seem a long time to be away walking but then perhaps its a chance to change your way of thinking over 36 days. What trips do you have planned?
