How are you? what have you been up to this week? I have been away in Queensland, in the sunshine, and it was truly wonderful to get away and just relax by a pool in the sunshine and not think about the rain. I did a lot of reading and finished Lessons by Ian McEwan I think this is his best novel yet. I absolutely loved it and devoured it and marvelled at the history I had forgotten about, it is well worth a read.
I am now reading William Boyd the romantic. It's good, not earth shattering but an easy read.
I have been watching Tell me lies on Disney and its good, set in the 1980's, lots of college stuff but the characters are brilliant and the manipulations are so well done, tiny little things they do make for a very very good drama.
I am about to cook asparagus soup as there is an abundance of asparagus in the shops at the moment and it's sooo good. This recipe by Delia Smith never fails and it's a lovely light soup for this time of year.
I am looking forward to seeing Sculptures by the sea at Bondi, it has been three years since they put it on so it will be great to see what new sculptures are happening.
Let me know what you have been reading or watching. Here are some pictures from my holiday
