Tonight my daughter is coming around for dinner and I have a roast chicken in the oven. She works around the corner and comes for dinner on Tuesday nights which is so lovely. She lives quite far away, about an hour on public transport so dinner is always quite quick but lovely to catch up her news etc. I've just set the table, I bought some supermarket tulips. I used to be quite snobby about supermarket flowers but realise that in London you need flowers once a week on the table for a bit of colour and for a few pounds its worth it. Florists in London charge triple and they all last about the same time.
