I took the dogs for a lovely long walk this morning. I don't tend to take my camera out with me on a dog walk and I think I should as there is so much going on in nature all the time. I decided to take some pictures of the horses in a nearby field, one was very obliging and stood still and allowed me to set my camera - I work in manual so it takes a while to get it right sometimes. I do love horses and envy everyone who has a passion for riding. I like to pat them occasionally, call them what I think their name is - black beauty, Trigger, or dobin - and then I walk away.

This photo, actually, reminds me of a pencil drawing of my sisters - It's almost the same composition. (It's on her blog which is in my sidebar, only if you're interested.) Her love affair is definitely with horses.
ReplyDeletebtw, I wonder, did you see my comment under your "practice, practice, practice" post?=]
Love, Katy Noelle
What a great picture.. I took a picture of a horse while I was on Vacation.. It didn't turn out quite this good..
ReplyDeleteI signed up for Madeline Bea 365 days..
I do think it will be an adventure. I am hoping to learn a lot on the way..
Hugs, Linda
That's so pretty! The color is beautiful. I love horses. Thanks for stopping by my blog, I'm afraid of the teenage years.. I remember how I was lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot. Horses are such majestic creatures aren't they?
ReplyDeleteThey have such beautiful, liquid eyes, don't they? I grew up with horses, and I miss having them around... :)
ReplyDeleteWow that is exquisite!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect shot!
ReplyDeleteHey Justine-
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful. I love the focus on the eye area, with the hint of the size of the horse remaining.
I also love the photo at the top of your blog. Wow. Looking forward to walking the 365 with you.
Susan
This is really lovely!!
ReplyDeleteReally up close and personal, Justine. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteMy hat is off to you if you are managing more than one dog on a walk AND your camera. My hat is also off to you working in manual mode. I have taken many photography classes but just seem to slip back into autormatic mode. I am hoping that his promise to myself of a photo a day for the next 362 days will help get me off automatic and into manual. Thanks for stopping by my place and leaving me a message!
ReplyDeleteWow - I love this shot...so simple, so perfect.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful... they really are such beautiful creatures!
