I love pomegranates, I cut them in half then bash them with a wooden spoon over meringues like Nigella says and as the seeds fall out they cover the white meringue until it resembles a scene from CSI Miami.
It's macro friday again at Blogging for Bolivia, it's such fun seeing what everyone else has posted, do have a go too.
This shot is wonderful! I too love pomegranate.
ReplyDeleteGreat Shot....I love the composition....great shot!!

ReplyDeleteNeat shot Justine!
ReplyDeleteI have honestly never tried pomegranates (juice yes, and love it), but my birds love them. Horribly messy though!
Lovely!!!! Love the composition and the lighting, but them come to think of it. I have never seen a photo of yours that I did not fall madly in love with.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool shot!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool... I wasn't sure what it was at first, but the textures looked so cool! Thanks for visiting my blog today. You have a beautiful blog!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture. But your description of opening it is awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat capture - I love the perspective and texture.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a pomegranate since I was little, but I remember loving it!
ReplyDeleteI've seen a recipe for a dark chocolate and mint pavlova that has a scattering of pomegranate seeds on top that I'm dying to try!

PS. V (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1307824/) is a remake of a show from the 80s about aliens landing on earth. I think it's a really interesting show! Check it out if you ever get the chance!
great shot. Again I was caught off guard by the shortbread image...it is such a mouth watering shot. Now I find myself NEEDing shortbread. Wonderful description by the way. I am intimidated by pomgranates because they seem hard to prepare. I have never seen Nigella's instructions...I will have to do some research.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I'd love to see the color one, too. I just love the color of pomegranate.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful shot! Love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat an intriguing shot! :)
ReplyDeleteI've seen pomegranates, but I'm not sure if I'd actually tried one whole, and not included as part of a juice mix...
Beautiful! I absolutely love Pomegranates too!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I love the lighting and black & white.
ReplyDeleteI used to work at Jamba Juice and loved the pomegranate smoothies - this reminded me of that! :)
