My roses are loving this cooler weather, I just picked this big bunch - all pink, white and fluffy - they remind me of meringues, the smell is absolutely wonderful. I put them in a beautiful silver rose bowl vase but when I tried to photograph it I just ended up with reflections of me and a great big camera, how do you stop reflections in silver anyone?

Beautiful roses Justine, I love the light pink and white...so soft. I bet they look lovely in your home, and smell wonderful! I think some reflections look interesting, but maybe try PS.
ReplyDeleteHiding in black helps, sometimes - especially with reflections in glass. With silver tea pots and bowls, I get really creative with angle. hee hee. Sometimes, I can hide in the curve - if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love your roses!!!! I just cannot tell you how much. I've just spent a day and a half FINALLY putting my garden in but no roses, yet. They're so tricky to grow in Vermont that I will have to get them next year and pray! I miss them so much and this reminds me why!
Love, Katy
Very nice, Justine. Did you have to remind me of meringues? I loved these when I was growing up. Not so great for the figure these days but what memories. Ummmm! As far as the reflection goes maybe a mirror would help. Or possible making yourself larger than the reflection. Easier said than done and I don't know how to explain it better than that. Hope you get some "good" answers.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful...wouldn't those look lovely in a vase in my kitchen right now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous picture! I would have love seeing your reflection and the camera's reflection :-)
ReplyDeleteI love Roses! I love the colors and the composition of this photo. It is simply beautiful!
ReplyDeletemaybe you have to have a long lens to really get away from the vase....
ReplyDeletei'm just guessing.
