Today for Tracey Clarke's picture fall we had to shoot something that contradicts itself, a scene that brings more than one feeling to the shot. I chose to photograph the mushrooms on my lawn as there was an article in the paper today on just how dangerous they are as at this time of year when people forage and cook them with often fatal results. When I look at the mushrooms I see beauty and think of toadstools and fairytales and when they sit alongside grass with early morning dew they look so perfect to touch, soft and pretty but of course they are far from that. What shot will you take today that contradicts?

Wow... That definitely contradicts itself. AWESOME shot. Those water droplets look like venom dripping from fangs, LOL. I ate wild mushrooms when I was a kid [my dad picked them and cooked them] and we all got poisoned from them. We threw up all night, but at least we were doing it together! LOL :-)
ReplyDeletea very beautiful contradiction.

ReplyDeleteVery clever. I can't even think where to begin. Now I'm going to be on the lookout for a contradiction shot. Never thought of that before. This seems impossible.
