Lots of people seem to be talking about their one word for the year, I can't think of one word but one thing I am going to try to do this year is keep things simple.
We get a box of vegetables delivered each week and as I took out the contents I was struck with the simplicity of the message on the side of the bag - a bag of spuds - don't you think everything has just become too complicated, too technical? All I really want is everything in a simple brown paper bag with a label on the side, what about you?

LOL I totally agree! I just want to get deodorant and I have fifty-something brands to choose from!!!! Things are DEFINITELY way too technical, too many options in life. Love this shot by the way! :-)
ReplyDeleteSimply wonderful! And I agree. Why are there so many toothbrushes to choose from? Crazy! Love the shadows and the diagonal pattern they make.
ReplyDeleteAgree! Great shot. Best of luck with slice of life project.
ReplyDeleteI could not agree more!!
ReplyDeleteSimplicity really needs to find it's way into more areas of life.
The other day I was standing in the supermarket and I had the choice of about a dozen different wheat-flours. I just wanted plain, simple, every-day flour and noone could tell me which one it was. I would have appreciated a brown bag that just said "mehl".
ReplyDeleteYep, I totally agree. I have a little sign in my Bathroom that says Simplify.. Just to remind me!
ReplyDeleteNice shot..
Hugs, Linda
Very refreshing to see something called exactly what it is. Simplicity fits well with my word, SLOW. Enjoy the spuds!!
ReplyDeleteI think simplify is a wonderful intention! Life has become way too complicated...every decision needs study and research into all the options. Now I hate to go shopping -- those big box stores are a nightmare. Your photo sums up the case for simplicity so well!
ReplyDeleteA simple brown paper bag would also be all I would need! Your post really had me smiling! :-) I love your photo - simplicity in perfection!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more!
ReplyDeleteI love this photo, the simple packaging and label is perfect. I am often amazed at how much plastic and cardboard is used in food packaging. Let's go back to brown paper bags.

I think that is wonderful and I agree with you! I always say a simple life is a good life!+
ReplyDeleteSo very very true!
ReplyDeleteSo true...It is very sad to think we now yearn for those simple brown bags. Simplicity - nothing better!!
ReplyDeleteso your word is SIMPLICITY! :)
ReplyDeleteA bit more simplicity would be nice!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot!
You are absolutely right, Justine. I've always lived as simply as possible; simple wardrobe, simple decor in my home, simple Jeep (no frills) and you know what????? I simply enjoy my life. Love your photo of the "Bag of Spuds."
ReplyDeleteSimplicity. Yes, I am aiming for that to.
ReplyDeleteI love this - no stupid warnings or instructions just the simple truth.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. I know what you mean about keeping stuff simple.
ReplyDeleteah, how much simpler life would be if everything just presented itself with a clear label. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think it could be any more simple than that. Great photo opportunity!
ReplyDeleteSimplicity is just what I need most right now. Love your picture.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot. I like to keep things simple. We have too much choice that makes it so difficult to decide anymore!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! And, I agree, my motto for the year is going to be simplify!
ReplyDeleteYes, isn't this the truth? How did we ever manage to make it through childhood? When you look back, things were so much simpler when we were kids. I remember even here in the city getting milk that was in glass containers delivered to our door. The silver "milk box" that sat outside was always a great place for me to sit and put on my roller skates ! Thank you for sharing this beautiful thought and photo Justine.
