Slice of life

I am participating in Darrah Parker's slice of life project and this week we are focusing on the home and photographing things that mean something to us. I look at this collection of cooking tools every day and I have used them a lot in my photographs, I get a sense of comfort and order when I look at them on the windowsill as I wait for the kettle to boil.

  1. This looks like such a great course Justine - I thought about doing it late last year, but it all seemed too much at the time. Now I'm kinda wishing that I had signed up. Beautiful shot of your kitchen window, so much light for winter.

  11. Elegant and simple in black and white. You are teaching me to look at things differently and I love it. btw, I tried to post a new "Partially Seen" today but it said I was at my limit. I thought I posted prior to midnight, but maybe not. So, I guess I will try again tomorrow. :)

  13. Oh, Justine, I just love your kitchen! =]

I've missed blogging with an ache but, now that I'm through the holidays (Lord willing) I'll be able to get back to it. Hooray, for sure! i want to stay and visit, tonight - I HAVE been thinking about you a lot, lately. However, I don't feel well and want to save my time for when I can have a pleasant catch up and take some time to comment.

I just had to come and tell you, though, that my lens came in the mail, this afternoon - the 60mm! er, it's heavy! It produces a lovely bokeh, when I ask it and I've had no light to work with, at all. Tomorrow.....

I just wanted to tell you, tonight, and not wait!=]
