The creative exchange.

Lisa has a fantastic blog and hosts the wonderful creative exchange each week. I haven't participated for a while but thought I would show you what you can do in lightroom. Yesterday I posted a shot of a gerbera in all its splendid colour and today I decided to take another shot of it and use one of the lightroom presets. I am totally unable to get my head around photoshop in any form and I love lightroom for its simplicity, I just clicked on the 'creamtone' preset, moved the contrast button a tiny bit and here is the result.

  1. Beautiful in cream tone... I do love lightroom presets. Have you tried the ones from Lightroom Killer Tips? They are free, which I like very much LOL.. here is the link http://lightroomkillertips.com/

  3. Hiya Justine,
Are you saying that 'lightroom' is different from photoshop and easier to use?
I only have a ten year old PSPro programme and should probably look into getting a more up to date one.
Do you have to shoot RAW in order to get the best out of processing?

  4. Justine -
The photograph itself is just gorgeous, but the editing you did on it makes it stunning. I am going to have to devote a bit of time to Lightroom!!
Thank you so much for sharing this today at The Creative Exchange, and for test-driving my substitute link system! I truly appreciate your help.

    Have a wonderful day!

  25. Very niiice, I'm going to look into 'lightroom' - I'm guessing it's an editing program... I love the color, cream - not white, not tan, but in the middle! It's beautiful! =)

  26. Wow....can I be just at wow?
I'm taking a course at the local community college on PS and hope my struggles will pay dividends later.
This is really beautiful....speaks to your intuitive sense of black and white.

  30. As much as I love PS, I really adore LR -- just like you for it's simplicity! For everyday photo stuff it's so wonderful to just flow right down the right hand column clicking buttons and pushing sliders and getting beautiful photos in return. I love your daisy -- color version and black and white version! : )

  31. Wow!!! I love LR...and use it almost exclusively!!! I have to admit though, you bring it to new heights with this one!!! I'm not familiar with this preset...

  32. Beautiful! Photoshop is very challenging and there are days I just plain hate it. :)

  33. This is just glorious! I don't have Lightroom but do have PSE 6, and I've learned some. I would love a 'cream' preset, though. (Picnik is another of my favorites, with some neat presets, but still limited.)

  34. I should use my lightroom alot more often than what I do. I've uploaded some new presets aswell - it certainly is alot easier than photoshop. I really like how your flower turned out with that preset.
