As more flowers appear in my garden there is a definite theme of purple appearing! This clematis has just flowered. It is interesting inheriting an established garden. I have always made my gardens predominantly white but I do love the element of surprise I am experiencing at the moment. I have packets of seedlings to plant this week, I have again chosen mostly white and I'm hoping they will fill the garden all summer long. What colours do you love in your garden?

You're right . . .
ReplyDeleteI notice the purples, too.
I love this photo!
I tend to favor purples as well, but the more colors i can have in my garden the better!
ReplyDeleteLovely. I like how you've focused this at the lip of that one petal, and let the purple speak.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Justine! I love purple and blue. I'm so excited to have a new climate garden!
ReplyDeleteHi Justine, what a great shot this is. Susan had the perfect comment.
ReplyDeleteLove the subtleness of this shot. I find outside Im drawn to purple but indoors I favour white.
ReplyDeleteha! i wish i had a garden :) this is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love this! My clematis died last year and I haven't planted a new one, now I'm wondering why. My garden is mostly white, with purple and orange accents....seems to go well with our brick house. I wonder what your next discovery will be?
ReplyDeleteI seem to have a lot of blue, especially in May. I have no idea how that happened but then my garden is a little unplanned and wild. I have a lot of weeds with little white flowers at the moment - they're floating in the puddles in my borders!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous shot Justine!!! I LOVE the bokeh effect!!! Wonderful!
ReplyDeletehow fun as each flower opens and a new surprise awaits. I love pinks, purples, yellows in my garden, but all colors are lovely!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you captured this purple, my favorite. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Justine.
ReplyDeleteI planted 2 white clematis last year, and am hoping for some flowers this year.
I tend to like any white flower. Not sure it it's the white flower I like, or the fact that I like to photograph white flowers!
I just love yellow and purple and pinks.. Anything that make the desert landscape pop!! Your flower is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHugs~
Hello Justine!
ReplyDeleteOh how I have missed your lovely photography. And look at all that purple!
Hope you are well and enjoying the spring time.

What a beautiful "moody" photo, it looks like a painting. A garden 'IS' colour, I love all colours, but I do have to say a white garden is serene, elegant and fresh and I adore white roses on mass. I tend to not be so keen on yellow as most of the weeds we have in Australia have yellow flowers and we get plenty of those in our garden. xx
ReplyDeleteI love this photo! I really enjoy having pink in my garden...love it mixed in with all the green!
ReplyDeleteSo soft and gentle. I'm loving this series!
ReplyDeleteI always love your point of view in your photos. This one is a beauty! I love all colors in my garden.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shot!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a garden, but I do love yellow and white flowers in my home.
