Last week we also got to have a go with different polaroid cameras. I have been dying to try an SX70 and now it is top of my Christmas wish list. I have a polaroid 600 which is an instant camera with a built in flash, this means that my shots come out rather flat and I can't focus or choose my depth of field. The SX70 allows you to focus and has no built in flash and takes those lovely dreamy photographs you see everywhere lately. This was taken using the new PX680 film that doesn't need shielding. It is also very pretty, folds up nicely and has a lovely leather case.

Looking good! You certainly seem to have had a great time there!
ReplyDeleteLovely, this shot has a beautiful feel to it. Sounds like you've had a lot of fun trying a few new things!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! There's something so softly vintage about those old polaroids!!
ReplyDeleteThat all sounds very technical! The photo is beautiful. Is the SX70 a new camera or are they old ones?
ReplyDeleteSimply lovely Justine!
ReplyDeleteSo interesting, my only experience with polaroids is as a child! They certainly have a retro look - the old adage "old is new again:!
ReplyDeleteAren't the sx-70s lovely? It's my favorite. :)

I love the look of the old Polaroids! I'm totally clueless when it comes to those cameras...do they still make them? And what about the film?
