I am not a fan of winter but I do love the brief glimpse of sunlight, low in the sky and soft and warm for just an hour or two. Perfect for flicking through books for inspiration.

Did you survive the storm? Lovely photo btw!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely photo and also an interesting insight into the books you're reading! How strange that the one on top should be about Dorothea Lange - I only just ordered the Phaidon book about her!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely... I look forward to days curled in a chair reading... summer usually gets too busy for me to do that. How DID London survive "Sandy"?
ReplyDeleteI really need to get to a bookstore and get this book. I love the little naked ladies you have in your vase. I miss those from California, they would just come up anywhere and everywhere along the coast in the spring. All flowers no leaves, just standing tall and straight.
ReplyDeleteYou've captured the feel of November here, with the slanted light and inviting chair. Elevate the Everyday sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo, it really captures this time of year - a low light but with a white light that lifts it up, Elevating The Everyday indeed. I am very ambivalent about the dark seasons too, photography helps, as does being submerged in a good book. What is the whole title of the one that only shows 'Body...' - tantalising!
ReplyDeleteI love both this and the tutu photo..so different yet so good to the eyes..
