I picked this gladioli from my garden yesterday, it was totally frozen and opened overnight with the heating, some very odd global warming going on! I am so grateful for my garden, I spent yesterday afternoon in it planting all my tulips (I hope I haven't left them too late!) and some standard roses, I hope they will all take and put on a great show for spring. Has anyone else left their tulips to the last minute? do you think they will flower?

I have given up planting tulips...something happens to them every year that very few ever come up.
ReplyDeleteStranger and stranger - could only comment when I clicked on the header! Love the colours in this - don't think any gladioli would survive here!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful love the curve. Did you refrig your tupils before planting? I know that helps us in warmer climates to do that before.
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure you've rescued. Lovely shot. I hope your week is going well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.. glad you rescued this.
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty. Loving your green and white photos. We don't even attempt tulips here, way too hot and our first flush of roses have come and gone, just brown crispy petals on a stem :( but we will get another 2 flowerings, one mid summer and another at the start of Autumn. xx
ReplyDeleteIt really is beautiful. I bet your happy brought it in. Wishing you a happy day my friend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image, love how you've composed it. I haven't planted any bulbs yet...I always seem to miss the boat on it!
ReplyDeleteThe Glad is a weird miracle! My tulips haven't come up for the last couple of years, not sure what's caused it but I have given up too. Let us have a shot in the spring if yours do come up!
ReplyDeleteI like the symmetry in this with the checked sofa..nice...
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful...the colors are so fresh & springlike, hard to believe your garden is still producing these beauties!!
