Kitchen table

On Tuesday nights our daughter comes over for dinner on her way home from work. It is such a lovely ritual and I savour every moment. We have a lovely catch up and then Michael drives her home and he says it's the only time he gets to chat to her! Michael is making a seafood curry and I have set the table and put flowers from the garden on it as well. I love setting the table, using proper napkins and because I grew up having to eat supper on a tray in front of the television with no one talking, I have always made a point of having us all eat every meal at the table when the children were growing up. I love chatting over meals, even breakfast is a meal we sit at the kitchen table to eat, what about you?
