My dahlias I planted in winter have arrived in a fanfare of colour in my garden! I am so excited as I have always wanted them but thought they would be too hard to grow in Australian soil but here they are looking resplendent. I read today that you should never pick or buy dahlias with just buds on as they never open in the vase, who knew? a fun fact to store.
