People keep telling me they are cooking and preparing things for Christmas now, I wish I was that organised but I prefer the last minute method. I'm not actually cooking today, I just thought the eggs, bowl and whisk looked nice together - waiting for something to happen.

With photographs as beautiful as yours who needs to cook?
ReplyDeleteYou should add some motivating words on the photo and then hang it on the kitchen wall. Maybe this works:)))
ReplyDeleteHugs.
Yum... beautiful photo. Makes me want to whip something up.
ReplyDeleteI really love this. I will be using my mixer more and more over the upcoming weeks! Beautiful, Justine.
ReplyDeleteI'm not cooking today either, but I love that you at least got things out and photographed them! You're a hoot!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, Justine. I'd photograph my utensils too, if I could find them. Hubby is the cook around here.......he lets me paint and take photos. What a deal!
ReplyDeleteYup, it is that time of year! I start right after Thanksgiving. Have to, or I'd never get everything done, and even then it's right down to the wire!
ReplyDeleteLovely composition in this photograph.
Very nice - love the composition!
ReplyDeleteI'm like you - a last minute girl. No need to rush :-)
This lovely b&w is inspiring me to cook! Whisking up something in a lovely porcelein bowl never looked so good. I'm also terribly last minute. Why do now what can be done tomorrow? :)
ReplyDeleteThere you are - lines and texture plus brilliant lighting = excellent image for b&w treatment! You must have really good natural light in your home - mine is dreadful and everything I try to photograph looks way too yellow.
ReplyDeleteOh My Goodness.. I just love this shot.. It amazes me how you do this. I have tried to take photos of Kitchen items and they never turn out that great. You definitely have a knack for these shot.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Linda
What a whisk! Great capture!
ReplyDeleteThis makes a lovely black & white still. Beautifully composed. P.S. I'm with you, it just doesn't seem like Christmas unless I'm rushing around at the last minute trying to get everything done!
ReplyDeleteI'm a last minute girl myself. I try really hard to prepare earlier, but I just can't do it.
ReplyDeleteI love your kitchen photography (perhaps because I love kitchens!)..this one is no exception, those bowls clean and ready, the whisk waiting to spring into action on the eggs! Great pic. By the way, thanks for your comment on my midlife rant...sometimes it helps just to get things off my chest - I felt like a big whiner when I reread it afterwards but I also felt slightly less alone x
ReplyDeleteWonderful except now I am hungry :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with Simone! Such a great shot - that focus is fantastic! By the way, I'm also a great fan of the last minute method! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI agree it does make a great shot. Preparing Christmas food can only be done whilst listening to cheesy Christmas songs! Its the law!
ReplyDeleteNow, my theory is that if you plan too far ahead, when it gets to be the time, I won't want what I've made anymore!!! So, of course, last minute is the only way to go!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot Justine!
I'm a last minute method person too. :)
ReplyDeleteReally lovely shot, very well composed. That makes such a difference, and you do it well.
LOL! This year I get a break from being responsible for the whole Thanksgiving meal - but even I was was, I am still so last minute.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo!
I'm still avoiding Christmas - I'm in no way ready
ReplyDeleteSuper composition and DoF. Love the focus on the whisk.
ReplyDeleteLove it. I wait till the last minute :-) I always tell myself that I will do better next year, but I never do.
ReplyDeleteLove it too! I definitely work harder when I have less time and I so enjoy all the stress that goes with it. Starting early is so overrated! PS love the Black & White!
ReplyDeleteI love that you just got these out to photograph! It turned out beautiful!
ReplyDeletethis looks wonderful!! good luck with your eventual prep work :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. I love how simple, but beautiful it is.
