More taps!

I noticed I seem to be taking a lot of pictures of my taps lately as part of Darrah Parker's slice of life project. This week is all about rituals and routines.  My husband shaves every morning using an old fashioned brush and shaving cream, he always has done and I think since we live in an old house with old style taps, it sort of fits if you seen what I mean.

  1. Justine, if there is anyone who can make a tap look good it is you!! I just love the old fashioned brushes and cream, Im certain many childhood memories are filled with children watching their father's lather up.

  5. I love the close shave of old fashioned brushes, cream and razors. My grandfather used to always shave this way, I loved it and wish more people would still do it today.

  7. Another lovely shot. My husband also uses shaving foam and a squirrel brush and swears nothing else gives as good a shave. Think you need a washer :-)

  14. Love this ! ( my hubby too shaves with brush and razor) I really like how you can take a very mundane, boring subject and transform it into something, not just interesting, but beautiful. Thank you too for the B&W info. Have'nt got to it yet but will. xx

  16. I'm loving these shots of your taps!! I would love to see more photos of your "old house" - it looks very charming!!

When my son was younger, he used to talk about shaving with a brush and that shaving cream that looks like a round bar of soap, and was always wanting a shaving brush. I found an old one of my grandfather's and let him play with that.
