Vases

I love taking photographs of flowers as you know and am always on the look out for vases. I saw in a magazine that wine decanters make good vases so I dusted off one that we got given as a wedding present 24 years ago and decided to put some ranunculas in it, I don't know about you but we never put wine in decanters anymore. I keep seeing blog posts for painting mason jars but haven't got around to doing that yet, what do you use for vases? anything interesting?

  1. Lovely! I'd love to get a selection of old milk bottles! I have a small one, but I'd love to have more.

  2. These are lovely. We never use our decanters for wine either, don't know why I didn't think of this! Jam jars and a water carafe are my current vessels of choice, dolled up with a bit of ribbon.

  7. They're such beautiful flowers! It looks the perfect vase to display them. I've tried (unpainted) mason jars and also a small fishbowl to display shorter stems. Wonderful captures! -londonlulu (jude)

  16. Wine decanters are a great idea... and three look so sweet in it. I will have to borrow this idea. And wine decanters lined up on a shelf would be a nice visual as well. :) Love the photo with the bunch upon the table as well.
