On the beach

As part of the Kim Klassen course I am doing our homework was based on the word 'organic'. Walking along the beach today I noticed all the wonderful bits of nature that had been washed up and I love how organic and tactile nature is don't you?

Hello sunshine

I was feeling a bit fed up this morning, missing the children and worrying about the future I have no control over and then I went for a walk along the beach and mother nature gave me a stern talking to and now all is right with the world.

Postcards from the sea

The tourists have disappeared and some days it feels like I am the only person around. The temperature is perfect so I like to sit and watch the waves and let everything else take second place.

Hello May

This is what a Monday morning in May looks like here in Sydney, I do love my new country!

February

February here in Sydney is still very much about blue skies and water, summer is drawing to a close and I will really miss it, hopefully it will stay around a little bit longer.

Happy Australia Day!

Today is Australia Day, time to get out the flags and cheer for all things Aussie! today at our local beach they had the 'man and dog' paddle board races, it was a brilliant way to celebrate and spend the morning despite the grey clouds.

Hello Friday

I have been exploring more of my new neighbourhood lately. I love all the wonderful colours of summer here in Sydney.
I have also spent a lot of time walking along the beach in the early evening enjoying the beautiful light and warm rays.

There is a real summer feel now, the temperature is about 28 degrees most days and the nights are balmy and full of the sounds of cicadas. It feels good to be warm and by the sea at this time of year. I am linking up with Friday Finds over at Kim Klassen's cafe today, do pop over at have a look.

On the beach at Sunset

It's getting busy here in our part of town, lots of tourists come on the ferry for the famous fish and chips at Doyles restaurant, they really are very good! Summer is a month away and the weather is lovely and warm, perfect conditions for our evening walk along the beach during the golden hour. I always make sure I take my camera with me, each day the scenery seems to be different.
