catching up

I have been sorting through all the pictures I took over Christmas in England. I have made a book through artifact uprising which is expensive with postage to Australia but so worth it. I have got them all printed too so I can stick them on my notice board above my computer and remember lovely times. I am so enjoying actually getting my pictures off my computer, do you do that or do they sit gathering dust on your hard drive?  These are some I have sorted into diptych using pic monkey - it's so easy to do. These were taken in the countryside and show the frost on the succulents my mother grows and on the cavolo nero in her vegetable garden.

Happy 2015!

Oh my goodness I can't believe how quickly the last three weeks have gone, we had a wonderful time in England and have arrived back home to Sydney a bit jet lagged and jaded.
I thought I would start with a glimpse of Hong Kong for you. We began and ended our trip in Hong Kong, we had lived there for three years so it felt like catching up with an old friend, a few changes here and there but basically everything is as I remember.
My favourite place has always been the markets, so vibrant and colour and so much noise, smell and people going about their daily life. There is always a cat somewhere.

I don't know how anyone can sit on this bike.

I wasn't tempted to buy any meat of this fellow but he was doing a roaring trade.

A weekend in the country

We just spent a most wonderful weekend in the countryside where my parents live, it was a weekend of food and flowers. My parents grow their own vegetables and have the most wonderful garden, it was a visual feast and here are just a few shots with many more to come!

At the market

Don't you just love markets? I have recently discovered the food markets at Bondi every saturday, so many colours and delicious food plus you get to walk along the beach afterwards.
